How Very Wise

So I’m chatting with my 6 yr old daughter last night and she brings up the topic of “when I grow up”. Specifically she was talking about when she plans to start her family. She declared (as she has many times before) that she will not be in a rush to have children. This time was different, however, in that she went on to clarify that she “wants to explore with her husband first”. LOL!! Is my daughter secretly watching Dr. Phil without my knowledge?!?

The Next Jane Austen?

In response to me pulling my 6 yr old daughter's hair into a pony tail, she states "it feels like a coyote stroking my hair with a sharp brush!"....Who hasn't had that thought before?

Needle in a Haystack

On Saturday Ron and I had gone to the Epcot Food & Wine festival with his two sisters and their husbands. Before Anne and Kevin arrived and during one of our bathroom trips, Ron's sister Sarah had found a driver's license on the floor and immediately asked if there was anyone in the bathroom named Molly. Unfortunately for Molly, she was not there. Sarah determined it was better to drop it in the mail to Molly on Monday vs. turning it in to one of the hundreds of employees at the World Showcase (the place was PACKED!). We all looked at picture and chuckled that if we could find her in the crowd, then certainly we'd hand it over. I decided that Molly kind of reminded me of a brunette Lindsey Lohan so off we went. 3 countries and approx. 30 minutes later, as we're entering into "China" - I spot a girl w/big white sunglasses on and a completely different hairstyle. HOWEVER - something about the face shape tipped me off. As I was passing her, I mumbled "Molly" in a low tone (just in case I was wrong). Turns out I WAS FREAKING RIGHT!! We were all in shock but I'm pretty sure I may have just earned myself some really great karma :)

Crazy Coincidence

Yesterday was Ansley's 6th Birthday. 6 yrs ago she was born at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Funny enough she was born in the next room over from a little boy (Carson) that she ended up spending the next 5 yrs with at Publix Child Development Center. It was always a funny coincidence just at that. Since we're not doing the actual party until Sunday - we wanted to still celebrate by taking her to dinner last night. She picked Outback (with a stop at Family Fun Center thereafter). Coincidentally, Carson was also there celebrating his 6th birthday with his family :)
