Wowee! I just saw that there is a company that offers dress shoes that you can change the height of the heel anytime you want (and no assembly required!). Why is it I just can't get past this visual of me being at some cool/chic/classy/okay-probably just chili's restaurant when one of my heels decides it want's to be 1.5 inches instead of the sassy 3.5 inches I was counting on to make me 6'1"?!?
P.S. These shoes are upwards of 300.00. For that price - they better not let me "down". Tee hee!

My washer is going to break long before my dryer

I'm at my wits end. My electric bill is 330.00 this month and if you've ever been to my house - then surely you must be scratching your head just like me. In my effort to seek out new ways to save money given the rising costs in EVERYTHING - I decided to return to the days-of-old when drying your clothes on the line was the norm. Thankfully I have a clotheline that is cleverly hidden in the back of my house - thus no unsightly airing of the "dirty laundry" for me, thank you very much. So here I was, scrounging around the garage trying to find that "replacement" laundry line that we had picked up a few years ago. The old lines had since been knocked down when the air conditioning guys pulled the old unit off the side of the house and let it fall ever so gently to the ground - ripping the clothesline down with it. I tied the best knots I could (given I was never a boy scout or even a girl scout for that matter) and VOILA!...I dryed 3, yes that's right THREE loads of laundry on it this weekend. Don't tell Ron and Harrison but their underwear were in the mix. Tee hee.
